The German Ambassador Visits JLSS

The newly appointed German ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Christian Clages, visited JLSS on Monday 18 November 2013. He was spending the day visiting the Bikaa region, and his starting point was at Schneller School. He was accompanied with members of his staff and journalists from Al-Safir and The Daily Star newspapers.
He was welcomed by the director who showed him around the school, visiting the various departments. The director informed His Excellency about the JLSS programs, in particular the scholarships JLSS is providing to twenty seven Syrian refugee children through kind grants from the JLSS partners in Germany, EVS/EMS. The director explained to the German ambassador that JLSS is able to provide care, education, and vocational training to underprivileged children mainly through the support it receives from EVS/EMS. He thanked the ambassador and his staff for their kind visit and the support Schneller School receives from the German embassy.
