Honoring Rev. Klaus Schmid

The last visit of Rev. Klaus Schmid to JLSS as EVS chairperson was from 12 to 17 October 2017. He travelled to Lebanon with Rev. Dr. Uwe Graebe for the regular JLSS visit.
It was a very special time for Rev. Schmid as he had served Schneller schools for fifty-five years in different capacities.
He was honored during a special program held on Friday 13 October at 10:00 AM. JLSS teachers, trainers, and members of staff were attending. Rev. George D. Haddad thanked Rev. Schmid for his long years of service, his love to Schneller schools, and his absolute dedication.
He presented Rev. Schmid with a memorial plaque for his outstanding service to JLSS.
He reminded him that although this was his last visit to JLSS as EVS chairperson, JLSS will always be his home, and he is expected to visit occasionally.
Rev. Dr. Uwe Graebe also thanked Rev. Schmid for his long years of service and dedication.
Later in the afternoon, Rev. Haddad drove to Beirut with Rev. Schmid and Rev. Dr. Graebe for the Schneller board meeting which was held in the National Evangelical Church.
They both flew back to Germany on Tuesday 17 October.
