Rotary Visit to JLSS

The Rotary Foundation is an important supporter and partner of our school. This year, Rotary clubs provided our school with much needed kitchen equipment, and brought the teaching program of our vocational school to the 21st century through the CNC machine they donated to our General Mechanics department.
The Beirut Cosmopolitan Rotary Club organized a visit to our school on Saturday 29 May 2010 for the official handing-over of this equipment. The Rotary Club of Wasserburg will organize a similar visit in November. Both clubs were behind those two extraordinary projects.
The Rotarians arrived at 11.00 am. Also attending was former member of parliament, Mr. Henry Chdid, whose father was among those who donated land for the founding of our school in Khirbet Kanafar. They were received by the director of JLSS and his wife. The director welcomed them and thanked them, explaining how important both projects were for the future of our school. They then went to the kitchen and the General Mechanics department for the official handing over of the equipment.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Rotary Foundation for the wonderful support our school receives. We especially thank Mr. Tony Asfour, Mr. Edward Rassi, Mr. Henry Chdid, and all the very kind Rotarians, both men and women, who took the time to visit our school and express their support to us. We also thank all the Rotary Clubs who supported those two very important projects.
